STUDENT DORMITORY IVAN GORAN KOVAČIĆ

Life in five accommodation facilities is organized according to the needs and demands of students. It includes adequate standards of living and eating. Students can satisfy their cultural and sports needs and live in safe environment.

In student dormitory there are: laundry room with equipment for glazing, classroom, restaurant, snack bar and caffe bar Mini. Dormitory has kitchenette and bathroom on each floor. Dormitory have terrace which is a place where students can gather and socialize together or even learn for school. Next to the terace there are two sports fields great for playing basketball, volleyball, handball and football. Also, in Student dormitory there is a small gym room.

Accommodation services

Student dormitory Ivan Goran Kovačić offers accommodation in single and double rooms for students and double bed apartments for professors and other guests of the University and Polytechnic of Rijeka. Student dormitory Ivan Goran Kovačić offers two types of accommodation for students:

subsidized accommodation for students who have a right to subsidized accommodation;
non - subsidized accommodation for students who don’t have a right to subsidized accommodation.

Students are accommodate in single or double bed rooms. Professors and other teaching staff and other guests of the University and Polytechnic of Rijeka are accommodate in double bed apartments.

Reception: from Monday to Sunday from 06:00AM to 10:00PM
Night guard: from Monday to Sunday from 10:00PM to 06:00AM
Administration: from Monday to Friday from 07:00AM to 03:00PM

Safety

Accommodation facilities are covered by fire alarm system, hydrant system and fire extinguishers. Student dormitory has special fire doors which are intended to preserve the staircase from fire.

Internet

Accommodation users use free Internet by connecting to a local area network (CARNET). Facilities are equipped with wired and wireless network. To use CARNET network, users must have their own AAI@Edu.hr user account issued by their main institution - faculty. The network is called eduroam. If you connect to the Internet otherwise, the service will be paid under the terms of CARNET. For more information you can visit the web site: www.carnet.hr. Accommodation facilities

Student dormitory Ivan Goran Kovačić consists of five pavilions and offers accommodation in single and double bed rooms and double bed apartments. Total capacity of Student dormitory Ivan Goran Kovačić is 673 beds:

642 beds for students from the University and Polytechnic of Rijeka,
16 beds for professors and other teaching staff and other guests of the University and Polytechnic of Rijeka and
15 beds for other guests.

Pavilion I.

Number of floors: basement, ground floor and 9 floors
Total number of beds: 360
Number of double rooms: 180
Kitchenette on each floor
Toilet on each floor: floors 1-4 has: 3 toilets, 2 urinals and 1 washbasin. Floors 5-9 has: 3 toilets and 1 washbasin.
Bathroom on each floor has: 7 sinks, 7 mirrors, 4 showers and 1 bath for clothes washing
Room for glazing on each room

Small gym on ground floor and place for exercise on 9^th floor
Restaurant, snack bar and caffe bar Mini on the ground floor

In ground floor there are bathroom with 3 washbasins, 3 mirrors and 4 showers; room with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors and 2 toilets, each with 1 toilet and 1 urinal.
On 1^st there are: 2 toilets, eatch with 1 toilete and 1 urinal and two rooms with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors
On 2^nd there are: 2 toilets, eatch with 1 toilete and 1 urinal and two rooms with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors

Total number of beds: 58
Number of single rooms: 10
Number of double rooms: 24
Two kitchenettes on 1^st and 2^nd floor
In ground floor there are bathroom with 3 washbasins, 3 mirrors and 4 showers; room with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors and 2 toilets, each with 1 toilet and 1 urinal.
On 1^stthere are: 2 toilets, eatch with 1 toilete and 1 urinal and two rooms with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors
On 2^ndthere are: 2 toilets, eatch with 1 toilete and 1 urinal and two rooms with 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors

In the basement there are: toilet for females (2 showers, 2 toilets, 3 washbasins and 3 mirrors) and toilet for males (2 showers, 3 toilets, 2 washbasins, 2 mirrors and 1 urinal).
On the 1^st floor there are: bathroom (3 showers, 2 washbasins, 2 mirrors and 1 bidet) and toilet (3 toilets, 2 urinals, 2 washbasins and 2 mirrors)
